Title: Some Poems I wrote
Description: I just wanted to share

Purplelizard2006 - January 6, 2008 07:41 PM (GMT)
I thought to start a topic on my poems to put here and share with others what I wrote during the years. Here are some of my favorites.....

Two poems describing actor Brent Spiner. :violet:

He was Lieutenant Commander Data
March 2006

He was Data.
The android who was loved.
With his golden eyes;
being in wonder like a child.
Earning to be more human.

He was Data.
An actor with much talent
Learning his lines without ceasing.
As an android not even wild.
Being emotionless, caused him to become
intrigued.

He was Data.
His golden makeup shimmers
in the light.
The positronic brain computes,
faster than light speed.
In all of his blight;
he do his self diagnoses.

He was Data.
Acting as an android was a tough job.
To be strong and daring
Yet so sweet.
A hero at the end
Kind and caring,
for all who were his friends.

Who played Data?
A very expressive actor,
played many eccentric roles
Yet, so remarkable he is!
Loved by all fans.
He is Brent Spiner.

Meeting Brent Spiner
November 2007

One day I met the man
I was nervous and happy
It was during the photo ops
As we stood, he said something
I didn’t know
“How are you?”

I turn to look up
Didn’t want to look sappy
Gave him a shy respond
‘Fine’ I said
A picture taken.

My smile stayed on my face;
turning to him to say my thanks.
He nods as I made my pace.
I was no more shaken.

My eyes divided between the man and others
simultaneously.
Still smiling as I nearly lost my balance
He watched me as I go,
with care he reacted,
hands held out ready to catch me.

Surprise I was so.
Right away I corrected myself
He was relieved.
Out of the room I went,
being red with embarrassment.
Laughing to myself and I believed.

The next day
I came for his autograph.
He had more to say.
My art, he signed.

Again, I was so happy,
that I met this wonderful man!
Oh the sweet and caring actor he is.
All I dare to say I can!
Not ever forget this day,
I met Brent Spiner!

Two about James Spader....

The Dark Horse
February 2006

He is like a dark horse
Mysterious as he is
In an interesting way
His good looks
With his unknown flair
Neither I could say
Is only fair
Yet hot and sexy
Swooned me over
mesmerize by his blue eyes
His thin, luscious lips
Would I dare for a kiss
And to touch and tousle his
soft, wavy hair.
His gentle voice keeping me calm
has given me enough bliss
That no dream could even end
Ah, the mysterious man, James Spader.

This one got me into a singing mood....

Our Man Spader
March 2006

Our man Spader!
What is in his name?
That attracts us.
Prince of Spade
All in a game
His love swooned us over
In all that glitter and jade
It just wouldn't be the same
to be without him
He's our man Spader!

I did this poem in 2003, I rode my red scooter to a downtown coffeehouse which was not far from where I used to live. It described me as onlookers see me going by on the sidwalks as they passed on the streets.

Riding my Red Rider to the Mocha Room
2003

On any of those beautiful sunny days
I would ride my red electric cart to down town
Arriving to the coffeeshop called The Mocha Room

The owner would greet me with a "Hello, how are you?"
I have all ofmy says
With many a smile and no frown
ordering my usual drink of iced latte

Neither pleasant nor gloom;
I take my leave after paying.
My red rider on the zoom
Carrying the ice cool, refreshing latte in hand
Thanked the owner with gratitude
"Come back again!" he waves with a good heart.

I gone a mile
ignoring onlookers passing by
I am who I am as a disabled person
And I am content with that!

Midnite
2004

A little black cat
mischievous she is
scoring her keep
Not in sight a rat
high in the air she leap
jumping over the dog
looking around
Ditto plays upon her
with a whining sound

Getting themselves wild
Running here and there
Day and night
Keeping themselves
busier than ever
Far from a child

Water and food they share
What white stuff she see
She walked around with love
In all that she want can ever be
A look up above
with curious yellow eyes

Dark as a night sky
People visits want to pet
as she becomes shy
She can be adorable
until she gets herself in trouble.
Making a mess
her master or mistress looks ather with scowls.
She plays innocent
Laughter is double

Midnite is her name
She gets all the tender loving care
that comes from mommy
Troubles she dare.
Midnite, the playful, mischievous, lovable,
curious black cat
And there she sat!

Ditto
2002

There was a little puppy named Ditto
Born on a cold fall day
To a litter of Jack Russells
The last one to come out of the barn

Mommy and Daddy picked her and pay
So cute she was
Brought her home to stay
Yapping all night long

Christmas cheer of joy
with singing of a song
Giving the little dog a new toy
as she played day and night

Being a good girl, she is given a
"wishbone" as her treat
A bedding to nap on
or sleeping cozily with Mommy
and Daddy under the blankets on
cold winter nights.

Her body, white as snow with her
head matching Daddy's red hair.
When she becomes bad
In the corner she sat for her punishment
as she becomes sad
For she was treated fair

She barks what was rightfully hers
Her kisses, wet of her tongue
loving Mommy and Daddy
each day wagging her short tail
as they come home from a long day
at work

Going bye-byes when
Mommy and Daddy takes her
On a monthly doses of shots from the vet

Company of children visiting
As she wags her tail happily
to have fun in the sun,
until she is tuckered
Plopping down beside her favorite
Daddy
So darn cute that doggie name Ditto!

Some fantasy poems...

The Unicorn in the Sunset
2002

Where the unicorn roamed;
your dreams wandered,
into the enchanted land

Nothing compares to the
power of its golden horn.
Running toward the evening sun,
in the field of green.

The wind in its mane.
All in sheen,
with flowers and ribbons worn.
Having all the fun
As beautiful as it is, so are you!

The Power of the Unicorn
(related to the novel I had started writing "Rheba")
2002

The power of the unicorn
is strong in its horn
Shining and sparkling with gold
glistening in the sun
Scintillating by the light of the moon
on dark nights

Nothing of its scorn
All to well to be bold
among thedanger of the shadowy forest
Running wild in the wind having its fun
Ruling over the beauty of the land
If stray too far
It's horn taken away
by an evil prospect
Causing the land to be torn apart
withering away in grains of sand

The good into bad
The days into dark nights
only a good warrior can fight in
battles with immorals using his
adepted skills
Among the mountains to kill
The power of the unicorn's horn
restoreth

Bringing happiness and peace
Freedom to roam rings
all living creatures laughing in joy
dances and sings
Everything nice and green
Renewed by the power of the unicorn

Little Faes
2003

Little faes, little faes
come with glittery wings;
down by the green pasture,
in the meadows they sings
their many songs

Wild they are,
unaware the dust of gold
sprinkling among the trees
bringing magical music to our ears

They may be hundred or thousand
years old
Fluttering about wherever they go
until there are faerie funerals
their rosy cheeks run with tears
mourning over their love

A memory to cherish
within their hearts
In the midst of birds flying above
Oh little faes, what can we do?
Give all that pays
Is our respect for you!

very nice poems!

you must do a lot of writing!
I find that it is very enjoyable to set pen to paper!
there is such a relief when I have finally gotten the story out of my head and onto paper... a joyful relief
do you ever feel that way?

Purplelizard2006 - January 15, 2008 10:22 PM (GMT)
Yes I probably do, when I write, I write from experience(as I do with my novel that I am writing), I do get the joy out of it. :D

AWOLangel - January 16, 2008 10:25 PM (GMT)
nice work

Here is a new one about Dragons.....

Dragons From Afar
January 2008

Dragons from faraway lands,
where they dwell.
Some among mountains.
Others upon desert sands.
In murky waters.

Dragons were called guardians of gems,
of variety of hues.
Protecting beautiful maidens;
shielding themselves with their talons of
black and blues.

They breathe of sulfuric fire;
everything in their path burns.
Nothing gets their hearts desire.
Defending what was rightfully theirs,
until they turns

Straight into the sharp point of a sword.
Dying bravely as a proud hero.
Blood brought forth from the heart.
Love pours forth to its final breath,
until the dragon part.
Wishing the torturous pain to end.

This one is related to one of my future novels... sort of a song for the beginning of a likeness of the show.

Journey Into Another World
Written a few years ago

Journey into another world
In a far away land
Neither rain nor snow will stop us from
travelling afar
Upon the golden desert sand
By night the guiding light of the moon
Creating a new society
On a goose chase game
That has in its name

Journey into another world
In a faraway land
People believe in the magical wand
Then a beginning of a new civilization
They all came together to celebrate
Journey into another world
In a faraway land
Journey into another world
Journey into another world

Another Faery poem that I just wrote this year related to the art I drew...

Harley-Davidson Faery
2010

Ridin' wild in the wind
Keeping the biker safe,
on the road to nature
Orange and black;
They wear the colors with pride
Neither they kept a bag or a sack
Always carried light.

Bikers and faes alike in their forays
Shouts with glee,
as they partying on all day and night.
And lovin' their fun
anywhere and there
in the sun

Hearing the roars
of Harley engines
All whooping and hollering
Fae wings aflutter and soars
In the midst of excitement

Soon come morning
When all sleeps
Quiet in dreams
Not any noises of bleeps
Harley-Davidson bikers and fae
slumbering away
All with smiles on their faces.

I love this one!

Great use of imagery!

Then again, you are an artist.

:yeahthat: totally agree.

Purplelizard2006 - August 5, 2010 04:39 AM (GMT)
:D It fits, the faeries are wild so are the Harley bikers! So I combined them together.
