:gah: :headdesk:

anyone ever use this site? I'm trying to get an image from it and every time I try to open the stupid thing it crashes windows. I emailed them and they said they had never heard of that happening before. I'm going to go with the theory that the images are too big for my pos computer. :wissa:

Thats another one of those .PNG files that you have to right click, save image as... then open the PNG file in your image editor.

I hope this is what you meant...

it was, but I wonder why it came out with that background?

image files are driving me nuts lately

CaptDennyCrane - June 9, 2010 05:17 PM (GMT)
what background? if you mean the checkerboard - that just means its transparent and when you save as a JPG, it would have been dropped on white

wissaboo - June 9, 2010 05:18 PM (GMT)
isn't it showing up with a white background for you?

CaptDennyCrane - June 9, 2010 05:21 PM (GMT)
the original PNG file opened up with its native transparency in place....its just the black pixels of teh enterprise and planet on a transparent background - when I saved the JPG for you, its transparency went to white.

Do you need it on a specific background? there's a trick in Photoshop (that should also be in Elements) to lose the white BG while still retaining the black pixels

I just opened it and used the magic eraser to remove the back ground and saved it as a png. Would only let me save it as jpg or bmp before.

yay That worked. And my photoshop didnt' crash.
thanks denny :hugs:

wait wait wait...I have the original PNG with no background that you can open in your photoeditor, but dont know how to attach files on this board

wissaboo - June 9, 2010 05:35 PM (GMT)
we had to remove that option because the board was exceeding it's limits and they were going to start charging me. But I've got it all working now thanks.

Thats practically the feature that made Photoshop unique and the premiere photo editing tool since way back in 1993
