Had my elbow surgery yesterday. Everything went very well. They made a long cut length wise from one side of the elbow to the other and saw that the tendon had what the doctor referred to as a rather large hole in it. Checked into the hospital at 6:30am and was going home by 11:30am. I have been told that I am going to be pretty sore for awhile and right now, my arm is wrapped up pretty good. Somtime next week ( I think ) is when I go back in to have the stitches removed. Can't really do too much of anything right now, especially since I'm right-handed anyway. Hate the feeling of being helpless, but it's one of those things, I guess.

Thank you very much for the comments. It is rather trying, to say the least, when you can only use one hand to type with.

Had my follow-up appointment today. Finally got all of that ten pounds ( or so it felt like anyways ) wrappings and gause removed from my arm, including the brace that went from my wrist to above my elbow. I have me a nice sized cut on my elbow where they went in. The doc told me that he wasn't expecting to see the rather large sized hole that was in my tendon. He got it fixed and so right now I am still a bit sore but I already feel 100% better. Next week, I go back to get the stitches removed. I am on a "light duty" excuse at work for about the next thirty days, but at least I should be allowed to drive the maintenance truck instead of being put behind a desk and pushing a pencil for eight hours a day.
