Explain.

CaptDennyCrane - July 7, 2010 06:39 PM (GMT)
Seems rather self-explanatory to me, dont you think?
Alisium - July 7, 2010 06:52 PM (GMT)
Not really, no.
Why would he do that? And why is it okay?
Praxius - July 7, 2010 07:04 PM (GMT)
Do what? Wear a shirt that has the N-Word on it? They're both wearing shirts that say that.
My only assumption is to try and piss some people off who can't say the word or else they'd get beaten up.... it's become a form of exclusivity for some people.... while some are shunned for saying the word because it's deemed racist, others are applauded for saying or expressing the word because while they hate the word being referenced to their race, they at the same time use that reference to identify themselves as a part of that race..... looping back to the original reason that they're allowed to, but others aren't.
It's a bit of a paradox that would make Data's head explode from a feedback loop.
Alisium - July 7, 2010 07:32 PM (GMT)
Yeah,
I get it. It's very frustrating and disgusting (the double standard). I just wanted to share with you guys.
AWOLangel - July 7, 2010 07:32 PM (GMT)
i think they're trying to "take back"
the word. instead of it being an insult
used by white (& others i'm sure) people
they want to make it their own.
that's a wild guess. really i haven't a clue
:idon'tknow: :mojo:

:wtf:
Alisium - July 7, 2010 07:35 PM (GMT)
I feel we should take back language and open conversation. Say what you mean, and mean what you say. And if someone doesn't like it, tough. And if you don't like what someone says, tell them to fuck off and walk away.
spocklet - July 7, 2010 07:39 PM (GMT)
:yeahthat: hey, no arguments from me dude
Damar - July 7, 2010 07:39 PM (GMT)
I don't even know who that is.
Alisium - July 7, 2010 07:39 PM (GMT)
Damar - July 7, 2010 07:42 PM (GMT)
You still didn't answer my question.
Alisium - July 7, 2010 07:43 PM (GMT)
He's a rap star. That's taps my knowledge base.
spocklet - July 7, 2010 07:45 PM (GMT)
Thanks, I was wondering too, but as Damar asked I didn't bother, just waited for the answer. :violet:

I've already posted multiple times about the use of the word Nigger.
So, I will not bore you again.
My other posts do that quite well.
:D

I'm sure that in some ignorant way, they think they are doing just that, but if anyone thinks a pampered million dollar rap star, wearing a stupid t-shirt can erase the centuries of racism & slavery that coined the phrase, then as I see it, they are a fucking moron
It would be like a Jewish person wearing a temporary holocaust tattoo, as a fashion statement. I swear, some people today wouldn't have any idea of what disrespectful behavior was, even if it was fire shooting out of their genitals

Isnt that strange? Ive noticed the spanish people at work get away with saying it too...
If I say that.. I will be fired.
and we have had people fired for that.
My black friends dont say it that often.. but when they do, and my eyes get all all huge
they just laugh and say.. "yeah, you heard me"

I don't find it strange at all. I find it predictable. It's fairly evident that we live in a society where social & even professional inappropriate behavior, of this type, is often more tolerated from people who aren't white, especially by other people who aren't white, because this society was inherited from one, where people who were white, were the greatest offenders of racially based intolerance & violation, in the society's history
Every action has an equal & opposite reaction, & frankly, it's only been about 50 years since black people fought the most important stage of the equal rights movement, & many still haven't convinced themselves that they won anything with it. So sadly, I feel as though we are just at the beginning of the "white people had it too good for too long" period in this nation's history... at least where attitudes are concerned
The tragedy is, that true harmony can never exist between the multiple ethnicities, in this country, so long as people are still holing onto grudges, that they use to create segregation & because there may never be an equally opposite reaction (Enslaving all white people) Then they will continue to feel entitled to wider latitudes in this society, in any way they can achieve, for a long time to come
But all that really means is that they still view themselves, a century & a half later, as freed slaves, to the point where numbnuts is even wearing the term on his shirt!
Pitiful

You know what I also find interesting about the original post and the picture provided?
That we all focused on the words on their shirts and it's meaning, yet nobody's talking about that gold plated ass sticking out for all to see. :p
wissaboo - July 8, 2010 02:28 PM (GMT)

Well in that case, while I imagine she's got a nice body and figure, those pants kinda don't do her justice and make her look like she's got drumstick legs.... AKA: her ass is too big for her legs.
But then again, I ain't no fashion expert.

Nobody has brought up the fact that he's wearing a hat that say "Queens" on it, as well. Maybe he's one of those too :lus:

ha ha, i find this thread amusing, only because of what happened at work last night.
a group of kids around 19 to 21 came in the store last night, making tons of noise and just being stupid. i swear they only words they knew were fuck shit bitch and the n word. they kept gettin louder as they were waiting for their food, it started pissing me off, so when they came over to the register, and every word was the n word, i had to say some thing. i said hey, can we watch our mouth please? they looked at me like i had lost my mind, and i told them that that word offends me, i never use it and that my parents raised me better than that. not only did they quiet down and apologize, but the other customers in the store applauded me........my question is why did the ones that clapped not say anything?

I was thinking the Borough of Queens.
They have similar caps with Brooklyn, Manhattan and The Bronx stiched on the front.

lol, I just thought there was a certain irony of wearing the one word on his clothes, & then wearing the other one too

Cuz they're pussies..... or... some could feel that since they're just customers and you're someone who works there, you'd have more authority to toss them out of the store, while they'd probably just create a fight.
I think they were pussies though. :violet:
